Nope. Thus why no VPP bikes have floating brakes.

well i have yet to try them on much hardpack and shale over hardpack. haven't made it up to whistler yet cause of injury. only ridden some of the shore.

yes, the 2.4 is perfect for the front, not too amazing in the mud, but for the tacky stuff it's amazing. i run a high roller in the rear and it's a perfect combo.

I don't have exact weights but they saved me around 350-450g. Performance wise gain is all in the reliability, they 100% better installation and system wise than truvativs...

I think I'm going for a XDX 2.4 front and a XR1 2.2 rear, they are both real slick tires

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 19:37
beacuse of the path it feels faster? i know in the open stuff i have weight and gravity on my side and a very supple suspension that works bestg when going fast... it corners like no bike i've ever ridden... and it's the stiffest rear end i have ever had!!

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 19:35
a sloping 'C'... goes rearward for the first 5 or so... then straighten's out with a slight angle in... so rearward to straight... or almost straightSmile

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 19:25
well like i said the demo is a sweet bike!! you probably would find the flatline a way faster bikeSmile.. but again.... mucho's heavier.. my buddy has a demo 7.. and he loves it but when it comes down to racing down schleyer or in deep at whis or even the north shore... my bike is faster.... or im way way betterSmile.. haha... (he's really good) but if i can get to an open area.... it's just gas on no brakes... lovely!!

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 19:14
yeah, ride one and you will be thinking the way i do.... demo 7 nice nice bike..
but give a flatline a chanceSmile

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 18:41
yeha it's a nice build, but the weight of the frame is worth the bike.. it's an amazing bike..
the frame is just under 13 pounds i think... ugh... heavy F"r.

randomborvo wrote
Mar 26, 2009 at 18:25
hey, my bike is roughly 43 poundsSmile
45 with dh tubesSmile

i belive it's something like 43.33 or something stupid like that..
would like boxxer wc's to lighten it up 3 pounds... buttttttt they are way to flexy.. so .. eyes are out for fox 40s white with silver sanctionsSmile in the 09 models!!

lcstay10 wrote
Mar 12, 2009 at 20:40
weight isnt to important. and a modest build. that i can slowly make a dialed bike. i wanna spend like under 1200 this summer. thats why im thinking bass. our shop sells the 09 for 1900. i get half off. so that damn cheap. idk.

lcstay10 wrote
Mar 12, 2009 at 20:37

lcstay10 wrote
Mar 12, 2009 at 20:28

also when I got them stripped and dry, I used some 00 steel wool and just polished them up. Total time, 1 hour 30 minutes + 7 beers and good friends...

Hey man! It is easy to get the blue anodizing off the shocks control knobs. I just used Easy-Off oven cleaner (in the yellow can). Sprayed the parts in a bowl, let them sit a bit, and them wiped them off. I had to re-soak a them twice. But all in all, it took no more then an hour to fully strip them. Remember you MUST use the Easy-Off oven cleaner in the YELLOW can. I used the blue can stuff, and it did not work. The yellow can is a lot stronger. Thanks for the compliments!!!

Pin'it tires are good - they roll super fast on dry trails and wear well. The S-Works ones have a wicked casing on them that pretty much won't pinch flat (I weigh about 200 lbs)
